Distinctive Design Co.; Inc. joins forces with Style Network and ASID
for the Historic Greystone Estate fund raising in support of Dress for Success, non-profit group that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of
support and career development tools to help women thrive in both work and life.
The Historic Greystone Estate opened its doors to the public, where over
Ten thousand viewers toured the 46,000 square feet living space designed for the Doheny family in 1928.
Natalie Addis and her team preserved the timeless elegance and masculinity of the Cigar Room, which was originally Mr. Doheny's gun room. The pheasant feather motif wallpaper highlighted the room, and complimented the rich sophistication of the room's design. The carpet was an elegant woven Persian rug with a wool and silk face. Keeping in step with the times, the curtains, which to the eye, appeared to be a heavy damask silk, were made of recycled materials. The room also included a vintage 70's piece, a black lacquer and chrome table signed by Pierre Cardin. The final touch was an array of cigar boxes.
